On April 24th of this year, the elective Assembly of FIPSed was held at the Hotel Bohinj in Slovenia. The Assembly was convened to renew the positions of the Steering Committee.

At the conclusion of the elective Assembly, the President announced the list of elected members, based on the number of valid votes received:

The Assembly also unanimously approved the proposal of the FIPSed President to appoint Joao Vizinha as President of the Technical Commission and Barbara Durante as Secretary General and Treasurer.
On April 26th, also at the Hotel Bohinj in Slovenia, the 46th Congress of the International Confederation of Sport Fishing (CIPS) was held. The Assembly was convened to renew the positions of the Steering Committee and various commissions.
Professor Ugo Claudio Matteoli was re-elected as President of CIPS with 96% of the votes. At the same time, Luigi Stuani was confirmed as Secretary General, and Barbara Durante was re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors, assuming the role of President of the Equal Opportunities Commission.
Additionally, Prof. Matteoli was also re-elected, with 95.7% of the votes, as President of the International Federation of Freshwater Sport Fishing (FIPSed) during the Assembly held on April 24th. Barbara Durante was also reconfirmed as Secretary General and Treasurer.
